Supplement to the Existing Working Agreement

RESIDENTIAL REPAIR, REMODEL, AND SERVICE WORK; ALSO NEW RESIDENTIAL (SINGLE FAMILY) HOMES.

AS AGREED TO BY THE MINNESOTA MECHANICAL CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION, METRO ASSOCIATION OF PLUMBING-HEATING-COOLING CONTRACTORS, AND ST. PAUL PLUMBERS LOCAL #34.

  • NOTE: THESE PROVISIONS DO NOT APPLY TO COMMERCIAL WORK. EITHER SERVICE, REMODEL, OR NEW CONSTRUCTION.

  • HOURS OF WORK: ANY EIGHT TO TEN (8-10) HOURS OF WORK BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7:00 A.M. AND 8:30 P.M., PLUS 1/2 HOUR UNPAID MEAL BREAK, SHALL CONSTITUTE A WORK DAY.

  • STAGGERED WORK WEEK: A STAGGERED WORK WEEK MAY BE ESTABLISHED TUESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY AT STRAIGHT TIME ON RESIDENTIAL SERVICE, REMODEL, AND REPAIR AND MUST BE AGREED UPON BY BOTH EMPLOYEE AND EMPLOYER.

  • WEATHER MAKE-UP DAY: "SATURDAY" MAY BE WORKED AT STRAIGHT TIME DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER THE PREVIOUS WEEK ON NEW RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION; THIS WEATHER MAKE-UP DAY MUST BE AGREED UPON BY BOTH EMPLOYER AND EMPLOYEE.

  • OVERTIME: MONDAY-FRIDAY: TIME-AND-ONE-HALF AFTER (10) TEN HOURS OF WORK IN ANY ONE DAY OR AFTER 40 HOURS IN ONE WEEK.

  • SATURDAY: TIME-AND-ONE-HALF. EXCEPT: EMPLOYEES WORKING A STAGGERED WORK WEEK OR EMPLOYEES WORKING A WEATHER MAKE-UP DAY.

  • SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS: DOUBLE TIME.

  • THIS AGREEMENT DOES NOT COVER THE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW APARTMENTS OR CONDOMINIUMS.

  • THIS SUPPLEMENT WILL NOT BE PART OF OUR CONTRACT BUT AN ADDENDUM TO IT. THIS SUPPLEMENT MUST BE RENEWED AT THE END OF EACH CONTRACT, BUT MAY BE MODIFIED BY A SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS BY THE MEMBERSHIP IF THERE WOULD BE ANY ABUSES OR ADJUSTMENTS TO BE MADE.
